Krölpa is a district of the rural community city Auma-Weidatal in the district of Greiz in Thuringia .

geography

The street village of Krölpa has long been located on a main road from south to north. Three hundred years ago it was the trade route from Nuremberg to Leipzig . Today it is the federal highway 2 in the same directions, which are now driven more on the federal highway 9 . The district of the place lies on a hilly plateau of the south-east Thuringian slate mountains, which tapers to the north. These soils of the slate mountains have good soil fertility due to the high proportion of fine soil and high humus content. To the north of the district the forest begins near Auma .

history

The first documentary mention of the village was archived on February 6, 1278. A church was built around 1730 .

traffic

The Krölpa station (b Auma) was on the Triptis – Marxgrün line . This is shut down. The state road leading through the town is Bundesstraße 2, which is downgraded in this section .
