Location of Unterlauterbach in Bavaria

Unterlauterbach is a district of the Upper Bavarian municipality of Iffeldorf in the Weilheim-Schongau district . The wasteland is three kilometers northwest of the Iffeldorfer town center and just under 200  meters from the shores of the Great Ostersee .

history

The first mention Unterlauterbach (aggregated with Oberlauterbach ) as "Lawtterbach" in Urbar the Lords of Seefeld - Peißenberg from 1300 to 1320th

Two courtyards have stood in this place since at least the 17th century:

The Lauterbach mill was believed to be a 1 / 16 -Hof consisting of yard, grinding and Sagmuhle which the Kloster Wessobrunn was tributary. The farmer at the time opened an inn around 1900, as the number of excursions increased steadily. Farming continued until 1955, when the owner at the time, Rudolf Grön, began to transform Lauterbach into a sanatorium . After his death, his widow Ortrud Grön began expanding the sanatorium into a cardiovascular clinic, which has been constantly expanding since it opened in 1969. The inn was closed in 1970.

The Gabelchristlhof is located almost 400 meters to the southwest. It was probably a 18 farm and, like the Lauterbacher Mühle, paid interest to the Wessobrunn monastery. From 1843 to around 1950 the building belonged to the State Forestry Seeshaupt, after two other owners, the Lauterbacher Mühle private clinic took over the building for its operation in 1982.

In the topographical-statistical manual of the Kingdom of Bavaria from 1867 Unterlauterbach is registered as "Lauterbach (Unterlauterbach - Mühle)" and classified as a mill and "Gabelchristl" as a wasteland. In the complete list of localities of the Kingdom of Bavaria published in 1876, the village "Unterlauterbach" is now assigned to the Gabelchristlhof and is therefore classified as a hamlet with a church. In the official register of places for Bavaria from 1973 and its successors, Unterlauterbach is classified as a wasteland.
