course

Gablenzbach in Stollberg / Erzgeb.

The stream rises northeast of the Katzenstein near Affalter , where the Lößnitzbach , which flows off to the southwest, and the Oberdorfer Bach also arise. Flowing north-north-east, the Gablenzbach drains the north-eastern flank and flows through the Stollberg districts of Gablenz and Mitteldorf , where the Oberdorfer Bach flows into it from the left. Then he takes up the Upper Querenbach from the right , which forms the boundary between Mitteldorf and Stollberg. Having traversed Stollberg he takes the right coming, only about 3 km long Lower Querbach on which the dam Stollberg dams. This brook also forms the boundary between Stollberg and Niederdorf . After about 11 km the Gablenz flows into the Steegenwiesen in the Würschnitz, which it is almost equal with an average discharge of 0.38 m³ / s and a catchment area of about 33 km².
