Gaston Léopold Vincent Beuvain de Beauséjour

Gaston Léopold Vincent Beuvain de Beauséjour (born April 5, 1856 in Motey visits , France , † April 9, 1910 in Besançon , France) was a French officer , historian and agricultural unionist.

Life

As the son of Félix BEUVAIN de Beauséjour , Mayor d of Motey visits and Conseiller ' arrondissement of the canton de Pesmes , and Caroline Juliette Colombe Lambert (de Richemont) came from being one in the Franche-Comté established, now extinct noble family of Normandy with family Ties to Switzerland .

On November 9, 1881 , he married Marie Thérèse Andrée d'Orival de Miserey, daughter of Paul Ignace Férréol d'Orival de Miserey , President of the Chamber of Appeal at Besançon, and Marie Renée Terrier de Santans .

After graduating from the Polytechnic and the École normal supérieure , he became captain of the 4th Artillery Regiment in 1887 , which he quit in 1890. As a result, he lived between Besançon, the family seat in Motey visits, where he was active as an agricultural unionist, that of his in -laws in Montagney and the Manoir de Gottrau de Pensier dit de Combes in Autafond, which his father had already acquired .

From February 1897 he was a member of the Académie des sciences, belles-lettres et arts de Besançon et de Franche-Comté, which he presided over in 1910.

Like his cousins Paul-Félix Beuvain de Beauséjour and Henri Alexandre Beuvain de Beauséjour , he wrote various works on history and archeology .

A place in Motey visits is named after him.
