Venues Gauliga Kurhessen 1941/42

The Gauliga Kurhessen 1941/42 was the first season of the Gauliga Kurhessen (officially: Area Class Kurhessen ) in football. The teams from the northern and eastern areas of the previous Gauliga Hessen were divided into this division, six teams from the Gauliga season 1940/41 and three promoted teams from the district classes competed against each other. The champion was last year's Hessian champion Borussia Fulda , who on March 8, 1942, with a 3: 3 draw with pursuers SV Kurhessen Kassel, ensured a preliminary decision in the title race and closed the sack with an 8: 2 victory over Sport Kassel. With 96 goals scored, Borussia 04 was after the Stuttgarter Kickers the most goal-hungry team in Germany this season. In the subsequent final round of the German championship , however, the Osthessen failed in the qualifying game at SV Dessau 05. Only the bottom of the table RSV Petersberg had to relegate , for the 1942/43 season the SpVgg Niederzwehren moved up from the district class.
