The Gauliga Westfalen 1935/36 was the third season of the Gauliga Westphalia in football. FC Schalke 04 secured the championship with ten points ahead of SV Germania Bochum . Schalke qualified for the final round of the German championship , where they finished third after an 8-1 victory over the Silesian representative Vorwärts-Rasensport Gleiwitz . The relegation ranks occupied Preußen Münster and Union Recklinghausen . SV Rotthausen and Borussia Dortmund rose from the district leagues .
