Gehrenrode is a district of the city of Bad Gandersheim in the district of Northeim ( Lower Saxony ). The district has 221 inhabitants (2010); Ingrid Lohmann is the head of the village.

geography

It is the northernmost village in the Northeim district and is located on the western edge of the Heber ridge , into whose Börde the Gande flows. The state road L489 runs through the village. The center of Bad Gandersheim is about eight kilometers away.

history

Gehrenrode was part of the basic equipment of the Brunshausen monastery by the Liudolfinger . The monastery had eight Hufen here , which were cultivated by 13 Meier . On March 1, 1974, Gehrenrode was incorporated into the city of Bad Gandersheim.
