The yellow lady's mantle ( Alchemilla flavovirens ) is a species from the genus of the lady's mantle ( Alchemilla ).

features

The yellow lady's mantle is a vigorous, medium-sized plant. The species wilts easily. The leaf blades of the basal leaves have a width of 1.5 to 6 centimeters and are kidney to circular, usually seven-part, sometimes nine-part, 200 ° to 360 ° and wavy. The basal leaf blades are divided to (70) 84 to 100% of their radius, the leaflet growth is 0 to 8 millimeters. The leaflets are 1.5 to 3 (rarely from 1 to 4) times as long as they are wide, oblong to obovate, long folded, rounded and 50 to 80% imperforate. The upper side of the leaves is yellow-green to grass-green, the underside densely silvery silky. There are 6 to 13, rarely up to 15 teeth on the leaflets. These are 0.7 to 2 millimeters long (which corresponds to about 3 to 7, rarely up to 10% of the radius of the blade), 0.7 to 4 millimeters wide and have a length to width ratio of 0.5 to 2, mostly from 1 to. They are pointed (lich), egg-wart-shaped to broadly crooked-triangular, often difficult to see, close-fitting or, on large leaves, the lower ones standing away. The end tooth is usually shorter. The petioles and stems are not reddened. The stems are erect, up to 200-flowered, 7 to 20 centimeters long and 1 to 2 times as long as the leaf stalks. The partial inflorescences are tightly spherical. At least some of them are shamrock. The flower stalks have a length of 1 to 3, rarely up to 6 millimeters. The flowers are 2 to 4 millimeters long, 3 to 6 millimeters wide and yellow-green. The sepals are 1 to 1.2 times as long as they are wide and horizontal to turned back. The stylus protrude and are 0.3 to 0.7 millimeters long. The scar is 0.1 to 0.15 millimeters wide. One fifth to one third of the length of the nuts protrudes.

Occurrence

The yellow lady's mantle occurs in the western Alps and in the Jura in the montane to subalpine level at altitudes of 1300 to 2100 meters. Its area extends from the southern Dauphiné to Piedmont , in the east to Ticino and in the north to the Bernese Alps . The species grows on mats over limestone , in limestone crevices and on limestone rubble, but also on flysch and limestone shale . It is found in the plant communities Seslerion albicantis (alpine blue grass lawn) and Potentillion caulescentis (vegetation of the limestone crevices).
