Georg Blume (politician, 1895)
Georg Blume (born June 17, 1895 in Katowice , Upper Silesia , † June 1974 in Berlin ) was a German politician ( CDU ).
Georg Blume attended a secondary school and passed the Abitur . In the First World War he was a soldier until 1918. He then studied law and political science at the University for Municipal Administration in Düsseldorf and at the University of Breslau . After graduating as Dr. phil. In 1921, Blume became an employee of the city of Katowice. In 1931 he moved to the Berlin district office in Wedding .
After the Second World War , from 1945 onwards, Blume initially continued to work in the Wedding district office, but later switched to the main social welfare office in Greater Berlin . In the Berlin election in 1950 he was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives. In 1953 he became government director at the Senate Department for Labor and Social Affairs . After the next election in 1954 , Blume was elected District Councilor for Personnel and Administration in 1955 by the District Assembly in the Wilmersdorf district. In 1959 he resigned from office for reasons of age.
