Georg Gick
Georg Johannes Gick (born December 14, 1910 in Aschaffenburg ; † April 1, 1985 in Munich ) was a German teacher and school principal , school and songbook author and dialect poet .
Life
Georg Gicks parents moved to Amberg in 1913 , where his father came from. His mother, a farmer's daughter, came from Vogled near Stammham (am Inn) .
In the mid-1930s he wrote two song books. After his later training as a primary school teacher , he was transferred to Munich. In 1955, together with Hermann Fuhrich (1904–1980), he wrote the prize publication for the Bavarian Teachers 'Association in Regensburg (now: Bavarian Teachers' Association ) with the title Group Lessons. Theory - practice. As a co-author of school books, he was involved in the reading and language books Ilse Herrndobler's Ich und Du - Du und Ich , published by Paul List Verlag in Munich and Schroedel Verlag in Frankfurt, as well as in the workbooks bsv spelling lessons published by Oldenbourg Schulbuchverlag . He was also co-editor of the magazine Welt der Schule ( Verlag F. Ehrenwirth Munich). His poems are written in Bavarian dialect .
After his retirement, Gick moved to Sindlbach . There he was the initiator and founding father of the small dialect poets group "Sindlbacher Kreis" founded in the summer of 1981 . The group, to which Rudi Bayerl and Josef Fendl also belong, published two of the four volumes of poetry with self-written poems of the members in the series Gereimtes und Unreimtes from the Upper Palatinate at the Don Bosco printing house in Ensdorf .
