Georg Joseph Vogel

Georg Joseph Vogel (born August 10, 1790 in Mainz , † October 19, 1856 ibid) was a Hessian judge and politician and member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Georg Joseph Vogel was the son of the privateer Johann Baptist Vogel and his wife Katharina Barbara, née Happel. Vogel, who was of Catholic faith, married Gertrud, born König, on October 16, 1811 in Mainz.

Vogel studied law and became a magistrate's clerk in 1818 and a judge of the peace at the Wörrstadt Peace Court in 1821 . In 1826 he became a judge at the Mainz District Court . In 1848 he retired and in 1849 appointed as a supplementary judge at the Mainz Higher Court .

In 1834 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Rheinhessen 4 / Wörrstadt .
