Georg von Vogel

Georg Joseph Vogel (* 3. August 1796 in Hilsbach ; † 20th February 1855 in Baden-Baden ) was Baden Administrative Officer and Member of Parliament .

origin

His parents were the Heidelberg court chamber councilor Franz von Vogel (1755-1824) and his wife Maria Theresia, née Jung (1764-1842). On December 5, 1782, his father was given the nobility of the Electoral Palatinate.

Life

He studied law in Heidelberg . Afterwards he was a legal trainee in France from 1818 to 1819, then a trainee in the Heidelberg regional office , from February 1820 in the Rheinbischofsheim district office , from 1821 in the Karlsruhe regional office and in the same year at the Karlsruhe regional office . In 1825 he became a clerk at the Oberamt Karlsruhe . In 1827 he married Friederike von Schilling from Karlsruhe and in October became head of the Wiesloch district office . In 1832 he was first a district councilor in the Neckar district directorate in Mannheim, After the reform circle of the same year Regierungsrat the sub Rhein circle . In 1835 he was a member of the second chamber of the Baden state parliament as a member of constituency 32 (Wiesloch, Neckargemünd). In 1836 he became city director and board member in the Freiburg city office , where he was also a member of the administrative board of the Institute for the Blind. In 1837 he received the Knight's Cross of the Order of the Zähringer Lion . In 1841 he was appointed to the Privy Council 3rd class. In April 1844 he became the head of the administrative district in Heidelberg , and in November 1844 he became the government director of the Seekreis in Constance . In 1846 he received the Commander's Cross, 2nd Class, of the Order of the Zähringer Lion. He was retired in 1848 after leaving his post in the wake of the revolutionary unrest. In 1849 he was rehabilitated, but in 1850 he moved to Prince Karl von Leiningen as an asset manager .

Vogel married Friederike Freiin Schilling von Cannstatt (1804–1873) in Karlsruhe on September 18, 1827 . The couple had several children:
