George Desmond Tambala
George Desmond Tambala OCD (born November 11, 1968 in Zomba , Malawi ) is a Malawian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Zomba .
Life
George Desmond Tambala joined in 1990 the Congregation of the Discalced Carmelites in 1991 and laid the temporal vows from. He made his perpetual profession on August 15, 1995. Tambala received on 13 April 1996, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On October 15, 2015, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Zomba. The Apostolic Nuncio in Malawi, Archbishop Julio Murat , donated him episcopal ordination on January 30, 2016 ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Blantyre , Thomas Luke Msusa SMM , and the Archbishop of Lilongwe , Tarcisius Gervazio Ziyaye .
