Gerald Brom
Gerald Brom (* 9. March 1965 in Albany, Georgia ) is an American gothic and fantasy - Artist and Illustrator .

Since his father was a pilot in the US Army , he often had to move. During this time he lived in Japan and Germany , among others , where he also did his Abitur in Frankfurt am Main . Growing up in a military environment, Gerald Brom got used to being addressed by his last name and still signs today simply as BROM.
Career
When he was 20, Brom began working full-time as an illustrator. A little later, at the age of 21, he counted renowned companies such as Coca-Cola , IBM , Columbia Pictures and CNN among his customers. At the age of 24 he worked for TSR , where he created illustrations for the role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons (especially for the Vergierter Reiche and Dark Sun campaigns ) and for trading card games such as Magic: The Gathering by the manufacturer Wizards of the Coast .
He stayed with TSR for four years before returning to the market as a freelance artist in 1994 . Since then, he has designed concepts for films and illustrated comics , particularly those from DC , Chaos Comics, and Dark Horse . He has also worked for numerous computer game manufacturers (e.g. iD , Blizzard , Sega and Activision ).
Brom has also designed his own fetish toy series together with Fewture , as well as bronzes for Franklin Mint and covers for various novels (by Michael Moorcock , Terry Brooks , RA Salvatore , Edgar Rice Burroughs, among others ). In the course of this, additional covers for books from the Wizards of the Coast area were created , including for the fantasy series War of the Spider Queen and reprints of the Avatar series.
Brom lives in Seattle with his wife and two sons .
