Gerhard Ittner

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gerhard Ittner (* 1958 in Zirndorf , Fürth district ) is an activist of the German neo-Nazi scene , convicted of sedition and Holocaust denier .

Ittner ran in 1998 for the Bundestag elections of the DVU .

He had close ties to the Thuringian Homeland Security , which the National Socialist Underground was also close. For example, in 2002 he appeared at the " Thuringian National Youth Day " and spoke at an event in the "Brown House" in Jena .

Ittner is said to have distributed a leaflet in Nuremberg on August 26, 2000, in which the message "1. September 2000 - from now on there will be backfire. (…) Waiting for further orders (Wednesday dossier or attack) ”was issued shortly after the start of the Ceska series of murders by the Nazi underground terrorist group . From 2000, Ittner established contacts with the NPD and was briefly a member of the board of their Central Franconian district association. In July 2001, Ittner distributed leaflets at the Silesians meeting in Nuremberg together with Mandy Struck, whose identity had been used by the right-wing extremist Beate Zschäpe . He was active in the NPD cover organization “ Citizens' Initiative Ausländerstopp Nürnberg”, but was excluded from the initiative and from the NPD by Ralf Ollert around 2002 . During the same period, Ittner was part of Manfred Roeder's environment .

In the spring of 2003, Ittner was sentenced to a fine of 240 daily rates by the Gotha district court for inciting remarks.

On September 6, 2003 organized Ittner a right to march Max Morlock Square in Nuremberg next to the former Nazi party rally grounds of the Nazi Party . On April 7, 2005, Ittner was sentenced in absentia by the Nuremberg Regional Court to a prison term of two years and nine months for sedition , denigration of constitutional organs , insulting religious communities and insult . During the trial, Ittner threatened a public prosecutor with the death penalty "for high treason". Because the arrest warrant had been suspended, Ittner was able to flee before the verdict was announced in March 2005. Ittner was wanted by international arrest warrant. His lawyer was sentenced to a fine of 2250 euros for statements in court.

Ittner was arrested in Portugal on April 11, 2012 and was extradited in Montemor-o-Novo . He applied for asylum there . In September 2012 he was extradited to Germany, where he had to begin his prison sentence. In November 2015 he was sentenced again to a prison term of 1.5 years for sedition and denigration of the state by the Nuremberg-Fürth regional court.

On February 11, 2017, Ittner once again cast doubt on the Holocaust at a rally by neo-Nazis to mark the anniversary of the air raids on Dresden . According to MDR , Ittner said: "Why should the Holocaust be the truth?" Then the police only issued a warning and informed the state security. On February 17, 2018, one of his registered demonstrations in Dresden was finally broken up by the Saxony police because they saw the "initial suspicion of sedition" confirmed in the speeches by Michèle Renouf and "Vitali Killer" after a brief interruption and legal examination.

His fiancée is the multiple NPD candidate for the state parliament, Sandra Rübel .
