The Gewinghauser Bach (also called Landwehrbach in the upper reaches ) is a left tributary of the Else in Rödinghausen and Bünde in East Westphalia . It is part of the Weser river system .

Source, course and mouth

The Gewinghauser Bach rises on Donoer Berg ( Wiehengebirge ) in the border area of Bieren and Dünne at a source height of around 175  m above sea level. NN . At 6.4 km it is dammed up at the Buntemöller Mühle. At km 2.7 it takes the Habighorster Bach on the right. In Ennigloh- Gewinghausen, it flows through the Gewinghauser Bachniederung nature reserve as part of a sieve system typical of the Ravensberger Land . At Elsekilometer 8.8 the Gewinghauser Bach flows into the Else near the Bünder Steinmeisterpark. The mouth height is around 61  m above sea level. NN . The stream is 8.2 kilometers long and overcomes a height of around 114 meters.

The Gewinghauser Bachtal nature reserve is around 15 hectares in size in Bünde . The area near Ennigloh- Gewinghausen lies in the midst of extensive agricultural areas and can be characterized as a near-natural brook valley. The Bachtal is characterized here as a sieve system so typical for the Ravensberger Land . Sedge , alder and gray willow can be found in the wet fallow land . In the south the area merges into a beech forest .
