history
Under coach Abraham Allotey , preparations for the U-17 World Cup, which was held for the first time the following year, began in 2007 . After the extremely narrow qualification for this tournament, the team completed a training trip through Germany and played five games there (8: 0 against 1.FC Schweinfurt 05 women, 5: 0 against a female regional team, 1: 2 against 1. FFC Frankfurt II , 1: 4 against a male U-18 selection and 0: 1 against a male U-14 selection). At the 2008 World Cup, Ellen Coleman , aged 12 years and 10 months, was the youngest player ever to make a team's final squad at a FIFA tournament; however, it was not used.
Against the German U-17 national team , the Black Maidens have a balanced record with two wins and two defeats with a goal difference of 5: 5. The team's biggest defeat dates back to October 2016, when they lost 5-0 to Japan in the opening game of the World Cup . In February 2018, the selection celebrated their highest victory in a 10-0 home win over Djibouti .
