The Gidra is a 38.6 km long river in western Slovakia in the catchment area of the Waag .
The river rises in the Little Carpathians on the slope of the 547 m nm high mountain Baďurka, at an altitude of approx. 470 m nm, passes several recreational areas and first runs east to the village of Píla below the Červený Kameň castle . Then the Gidra turns to the southeast and now flows in the Danube hill country . The Štefanovský potok flows into Budmerice on the left , in the further course the Gidra passes the edge of the villages Jablonec , Cífer , Pác, Slovenská Nová Ves , Voderady and Pavlice ; behind the last-named place it takes up the Ronava, also on the left. In the last kilometers it touches Abrahám and flows into the Dolný Dudváh in the municipality of Malá Mača .
