  • Gillenbach: 10 mentions (1625 to 1826)

geography

course

The Gillenbach rises in a reed near Wilhelmskirch in the municipality of Horgenzell at an altitude of about 576 m. From there it flows in an easterly direction past Hinterweißried, Eschau, Aich and Ganter to almost the outskirts of the western town of Ravensburg. Then it crosses under the federal highway 33 and bends there on the southern course through the Hotterloch gorge. Finally it crosses Oberzell and shortly afterwards flows into the Schussen from the right.
