Giuseppe Vallemani (born December 9, 1648 in Fabriano , † December 15, 1725 in Rome ) was an Italian cardinal of the Roman Church . He was a member of the curia .

Life

Giuseppe Vallemani was a son of Count Rinaldo Vallemani and his wife Maddalena della Genga. He studied at the University of Macerata , where he became Doctor iuris utriusque doctorate was. He moved to Rome and came to the court of Cardinal Emilio Altieri , who later became Pope as Clement X. As chaplain of His Holiness he became a trainee lawyer at the tribunals of the Apostolic Signature , and later also a canon of the Vatican Basilica . From July 1675 to August 1676 he was prefect of the archives in Castel Sant'Angelo . On June 17, 1690 he became secretary of the Congregation for Rites . He was ordained a priest on January 17, 1700.

On December 5, 1701 he was appointed titular archbishop of Atene . The episcopal ordination received his Cardinal Fabrizio Paolucci . Giuseppe Vallemani was appointed Papal Assistant to the Throne on December 8, 1701 . Pope Clement XI. appointed him in the consistory of May 17, 1706 in pectore for Cardinal Priest , which was published in August 1707th The cardinal's hat and the titular church of Santa Maria degli Angeli were awarded to Giuseppe Vallemani on November 28, 1707. He took part in the conclave of 1721 , which Pope Innocent XIII. chose. He was also a participant in the conclave in 1724 , in which Benedict XIII. when Pope was elected.

Giuseppe Vallemani died on December 15, 1725 at 10:15 a.m. in Rome and was buried in the local church of Santi XII Apostoli .
