The Gmina Rudnik is a rural community in the Powiat Raciborski of the Silesian Voivodeship in Poland . Their seat is the village of the same name ( German Rudnik ) with about 900 inhabitants.
geography
The rural community borders on the Opole Voivodeship (Opole) in the north . Their neighboring communities are Baborów , Cisek , Kuźnia Raciborska , Nędza , Pietrowice Wielkie , Polska Cerekiew and the district town of Racibórz (Ratibor) .
The community has an area of 73.9 km², 85% of which is used for agriculture and 7% for forestry.
history
The municipality has existed since 1973 and belonged to the Katowice Voivodeship from 1975 to 1998 .
After a positive vote in March 2016, the rural community plans to introduce bilingual place names. The village of Łubowice with the Eichendorff center already bears the official German name Lubowitz .
