The Gmina Wasilków is an urban-and-rural municipality in the powiat Białostocki in the Podlaskie Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the city of the same name with more than 10,000 inhabitants.
geography
The municipality is located in the north of the city of Białystok . The Supraśl River is one of the waters . The community has an area of 127.17 km². 40% of their area is used for agriculture and 48% for forestry.
history
From 1975 to 1978 the municipality belonged to the Białystok Voivodeship and from 1807 to 1918 to Russia .
structure
In addition to the city that gives it its name, the urban and rural community includes nine villages with ten school offices: Dąbrówki, Jurowce, Nowodworce, Rybniki, Sielachowskie, Osowicze, Sochonie, Studzianki I & II, Woroszyły and Wólka-Przedmieście.
Other localities are: Burczak, Horodnianka, Horodnianka (colony), Jaroszówka, Jurowce (colony), Katrynka (village), Katrynka (forest settlement), Mostek (colony), Mostek (forest settlement), Ożynnik, Podkrzemionczianka, Wólka Poduchowna., Zaapiecovna .

Droga krajowa 8 and Droga krajowa 19 and railway line No. 6 Zielonka - Kuźnica Białostocka run through the municipality .
