The Gmina Zakliczyn is an urban-and-rural municipality in the powiat Tarnowski of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the city ​​of the same name with about 1650 inhabitants.

geography

The waters include the Dunajec and Paleśnica rivers.

history

Between 1954 and 1972 the village of Zakliczyn belonged to the Gromada Zakliczyn in the Brzeski powiat . From 1975 to 1998 the municipality belonged to the Tarnów Voivodeship .

In 2005 the main town received its town charter again and the municipality got its current status.
