The Gmina wiejska Zduny is a rural municipality in the powiat Łowicki of the Łódź Voivodeship , Poland . The village of Zduny itself has about 700 inhabitants, the Gmina has an area of 128.55 km² and 5673 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2019).

The municipality borders on the rural municipalities: Bedlno , Bielawy , Chąśno , Kiernozia , Łowicz and Żychlin .
history
The rural municipality of Zduny was established in 1953 from the municipality of Bąków, since then the seat has been in the village of Zduny. From 1975 to 1998 the municipality was part of the Skierniewice Voivodeship .

The rural community of Zduny includes 24 districts with a Schulzenamt :
Bąków Dolny, Bąków Górny, Bogoria Dolna, Bogoria Górna, Bogoria Pofolwarczna, Dąbrowa, Jackowice, Łaźniki, Maurzyce, Nowe Zduny, Nowy Złaków, Pólka, Retki, Rząśno, Wiskienzalesie Górzna, Wiskienzymanowice, Wiskienzymanowice, Strugienice, Uricazymanowice , Zduny, Złaków Borowy and Złaków Kościelny.
The municipality has no other localities.
Culture
The Maurzyce Skansen open-air museum is located in Maurzyce. In addition, the community has other protected architectural monuments:

Personalities
- Franciszek Drzewiecki FDP (born February 26, 1860 in Zduny) - The clergyman was murdered on September 13, 1942 in the Hartheim killing center , in 1999 he was appointed blessed of the Catholic Church .
Trivia
The moor plant Kopfried got its Polish name Marzyca ( Schoenus L.) after the Gmina place of the same name, which is named after the Krakow bishop Maurus († 1118).
