The Gode Wind is a tender boat from the Frisia-Offshore-Reederei founded on May 1st 2010, a subsidiary of the Norden-Frisia shipping company . The ship is used in particular for the transport of people in the form of service technicians and material to the offshore wind farm "alpha ventus" . Home port is Norddeich .

The ship

The former coastal patrol boat Fehmarn was taken over by the Schleswig-Holstein water police at the beginning of August 2010 and renamed Gode Wind in September 2010 . After the conversion to a tender boat at the Oldersum shipyard in Diedrich , extensions were made to the ship. These consisted, among other things, of modernizing the navigation and safety equipment. A large, specially made bow fender with a step-over device was added, which enables the ship to dock directly on the step-up devices of the offshore wind turbines. Gode Wind supports the catamarans Wind Force I and Wind Force II , which also operate for Frisia Offshore.

There is space for up to 12 people below deck. The ship has a loading deck at the stern. The on-board crane can lift up to a ton.

history

As a coastal patrol boat Fehmarn , the boat was used from the home port of Heiligenhafen in the Hohwacht Bay around Fehmarn and the Bay of Lübeck . If necessary, monitoring tasks could be carried out all over the Baltic Sea.

Technical specifications

The ship is powered by two twelve - cylinder four - stroke diesel engines from the manufacturer Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz (type: TBD 604 BV 12), each with an output of 1197  kW . The motors act on two controllable pitch propellers . The ship reaches a speed of 18  knots .

Two diesel generators with an apparent power of 47 kVA each  are available for the power supply.
