Golzen is a district of the town of Bad Bibra in the Burgenland district in Saxony-Anhalt .
history
Golzen (Slavic = those who live at the sheepfold) was originally a Slavic settlement. It was first mentioned in a document in the Hersfeld tithe list around 881 as Gazlohene narca . The church was a branch of church divisions . The place and its jurisdiction belonged to the manor Kirchscheidungen von Rockhausen , later to the von der Schulenburg auf Burgscheidungen .
In 1589 the place Golsen was written, it was then in the Eckartsberga office and belonged to the von Rockhausen family. The Warta desert was also part of the village hall . The Freyburg office only had to demand interest on grain from Golzen.
On July 1, 2009, Golzen was incorporated into Bad Bibra with the districts of Golzen and Krawinkel . The last mayor was Ernst Handsche.
