In addition to George Harrison (vocals and guitars), Jeff Lynne ( electric bass and keyboards ), Jim Keltner ( drums ), Jim Horn ( saxophone ) and Ray Cooper ( percussion ) were involved in the recording . This version was released as a pre-release single for Harrison's album Cloud Nine . On the B-side was the Harrison composition Lay His Head . The publication took place on October 12, 1987 in Great Britain; in the USA, Canada, Ireland, Australia and Belgium the piece became a number one hit. Got My Mind Set on You was Harrison's third and final number one hit in the United States in 1988 . After Harrison and Warner Brothers didn't like the first music video, another video was shot under the direction of Gary Weis. In this second clip, Harrison is sitting in an armchair in a haunted house with moving furniture, playing the guitar. In between he suddenly jumps up and performs an acrobatic dance, which was visibly shot with a double.
