This discography is an overview of the musical works of the British musician George Harrison . For publications with the Beatles : see The Beatles / Discography .
introduction
George Harrison's first solo project came about while he was still a member of the Beatles . On November 1, 1968, he released the soundtrack for the eponymous feature film Wonderwall Music , it was the Beatles' first solo album. The second solo album Electronic Sound , released in 1969, was avant-garde ; here Harrison experimented with a Moog synthesizer . From 1970 to 1992 inclusive, he released nine studio albums (plus two as a member of the Traveling Wilburys ), two live and two compilation albums. Harrison died on November 29, 2001 of complications from cancer. In 2002 the last studio album Brainwashed was released posthumously ; it was produced and completed by Jeff Lynne and Harrison's son Dhani. Between 2001 and 2014, several studio albums were released in newly remastered versions, mostly with bonus material. Another compilation album was released in 2009.
