This discography is an overview of the musical works of the British musician Ringo Starr . For publications with the Beatles : see The Beatles / Discography . According to sources and record awards, he has sold more than 4.9 million records in his career, including over 410,000 in his home country alone. Starr's most successful release is the Ringo album with over 1.1 million units sold.
introduction
Ringo Starr's first solo project came about between October 1969 and March 1970, when he was still an official member of the Beatles . On March 27, 1970 he released his first studio album Sentimental Journey , it consisted of older hits. The second solo album, also released in 1970, Beaucoups of Blues was a country album that was recorded in Nashville, USA. This was followed by his most commercially successful period between 1971 and 1975, when he released seven top ten singles and his two most successful studio albums, Ringo and Goodnight Vienna , in the United States alone . Ringo Starr released 20 studio albums - ten live and six compilation albums - from 1970 to 2019 inclusive. Ringo Starr also sang a record for children ( Scouse the Mouse ) and discussed several videos and radio play cassettes in the role of Thomas The Tank Engine . Between 1968 and 1985 Ringo Starr was also active in the film business.
