Ringo 5.1: The Surround Sound Collection is the 28th album and the fifth compilation album by Ringo Starr after the separation of the Beatles . It was released on March 4, 2008 in the United States. The album was not released in Germany or Great Britain.

History of origin

The following five Ringo Starr albums were released by the recording company Koch by 2008: The Anthology… So Far , Ringo Rama , Tour 2003 , Choose Love and Ringo Starr: Live at Soundstage . Koch decided to put together a compilation album from the two studio albums Ringo Rama and Choose Love , with six songs being selected from each album. The album also contains a DVD that contains the same songs as the CD, in a 5.1 mix. This mix was made under the supervision of Ringo Starr of Bruce Sugar, who would also be the co-producer of the next studio album Y Not , in the Sugarsound Studios. The DVD contains the additional song I Really Love Her from the album Ringo Rama .

Ringo 5.1: The Surround Sound Collection is the sixth album released by Koch.

Cover design

The designer of the cover is not mentioned in the CD booklet. The CD is accompanied by an illustrated four-page booklet that contains information about the album.
