Ringo Starr: Live at Soundstage is the 26th album or the ninth live album by Ringo Starr after the separation of the Beatles . It was released in the United States on October 27, 2007. The album was not released in Germany or Great Britain.

History of origin

After the release of the studio album Choose Love in July 2005, Ringo Starr went on a promotional tour with his group The Roundheads. In 2005 Ringo Starr was not on tour with the All-Starr Band.

The concert was recorded on August 25, 2005 at the Genesee Theater in Waukegan (USA) and released as the fifth Ringo Starr CD by Koch over two years later. It is the fifth album that Mark Hudson and Ringo Starr produced together and the second live album after VH1 Storytellers in which Ringo Starr sings all the songs. At the concert, however, Colin Hay also sang three songs as a guest musician; one of them, Who Can It Be Now? , was released on the DVD Soundstage: Ringo Starr and the Roundheads .

The concert was given as part of the PBS concert series entitled Soundstage . The songs on the CD were all sung by Ringo Starr and are cross-career; so the song Boys with the Beatles was released in 1963 and the most recent song, Choose Love , was released in 2005.
