Gracie Carvalho (born July 23, 1990 in São José dos Campos or Campinas , São Paulo ) is a Brazilian photo and catwalk model .

Life

Gracie Carvalho signed a contract with the Brazilian Way Model Management in 2007 and was immediately booked for national catwalk shows and fashion magazines. Her first major appearances were in January 2008 when she participated in the Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo fashion weeks . In her home country she soon decorated the covers of the Brazilian editions of L'Officiel , Vogue and Elle . A little later, Gracie was signed by the US Marilyn Agency.

Gracie Carvalho had her international breakthrough when she moved to New York in autumn 2009. The dark-skinned model was best known for her nude photo (shooting in November 2009 in her Brazilian homeland) in the 2010 Pirelli calendar and her participation in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, also in 2010. Since then, the attractive Brazilian has worked for numerous international clothing companies and fashion lines such as DKNY , Gap , C&A , Kenneth Cole , Max Azria , Carolina Herrera , Express , Ralph Lauren , Vera Wang and Tory Burch . On Parisian catwalks she presented fashion by designers Giambattista Valli , Kris Van Assche and Stella McCartney , then (again in New York) Gracie Carvalho was booked by Jason Wu , Diane von Fürstenberg and Miu Miu .
