Grete Kristine Nordrå (born November 22, 1924 in Asker , † March 13, 2012 in Bergen ) was a Norwegian actress . Nordrå had a long career as a theater and film actress, best known for her roles as Elling's mother in the movie Elling - Not Without My Mother ( Mors Elling ) and as Anna Neshov in the television series Berlinerpoplene .

biography

Nordrå made her debut as a dancer at the Edderkoppen Theater in Oslo in 1949 and then appeared in the Chat Noir Theater. In 1952 she made her debut as an actress at the Folketeatret in Oslo, where she worked until 1959. From 1961 she played at Oslo Nye Teater .Siden and in the same year she moved to Trøndelag Teater in Trondheim , where she stayed until 1968. She then went to Oslo to Det norske teatret until 1974. From 1974 to 1976 she then appeared as an actress at Teatret Vårt in Møre og Romsdal and from 1976 to 1982 at the Rogaland Theater in Stavanger . In 1982 she started playing at Den Nationale Scene Theater in Bergen , where she worked for over 20 years. Nordrå also had various roles in the open-air theater performances Spelet om Heilag Olav (Festival of Saint Olaf) in Verdal in Nord-Trøndelag and in the historical play Kristkongane på Moster (Christ the King in Moster) in the Mostraspelet (Moster Festival) on the island Moster in Hordaland .

In the feature film, Nordrå had her first role in Trost i taklampa in 1955 . Since then, Nordrå has worked in various roles as an actress in several films and television productions, including Ni liv , Hustruer , Medmenneske , Lars i porten , Elling - Not without my mother and Berlinerpoplene .

Nordrå was appointed Knight 1st Class of the Order of Saint Olav by King Harald V in 2003 , “for her contribution to the Norwegian theater”.
