Grullbad is a district in the south of the city of Recklinghausen . It is named after an earlier thermal bath there.

Grullbad borders in the south on the Baukau district of the independent city of Herne , in the west on Hochlarmark , selectively in the northwest on Stuckenbusch , in the north on Hillerheide and in the east on the south .
The boundaries to the neighboring districts are comparatively sharp:
- The Emscher forms the city limits to Herne.
- The federal motorway 43 forms the border to Hochlarmark.
- The Recklinghausen motorway junction forms the selective border to Stuckenbusch.
- The federal motorway 2 forms the border to Hillerheide.
- The Hellbach forms the border to the south.

Traffic main artery in north-south direction is the high road that in the old Grullbad in the north Grullbadstraße , further south the much larger Theodor-Körner-Straße to the center of South and A 2, and in the far south, the Hochlarmarkstraße to the station (see below ) cross.
The Grullbad district is served by Deutsche Bahn . The S-Bahn line S 2 , a train operated by Abellio Rail NRW between Essen and Dortmund, runs every 60 minutes through Recklinghausen Süd station in the south of the district . In addition, the RE 42 Niers-Haard-Express runs through the station between Essen and Münster .
