Guillaume Lefebvre (born May 7, 1981 in Amos , Québec ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the EC Graz 99ers in the Austrian ice hockey league since 2011 .

Career

Guillaume Lefebvre began his career as a hockey player in the Canadian junior league QMJHL , where he was active from 1998 to 2001 for the Cataractes de Shawinigan , Cape Breton Screaming Eagles , Remparts de Québec and Huskies de Rouyn-Noranda . During this period he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2000 in the seventh round as a total of 227th player by the Philadelphia Flyers , for whose farm team Philadelphia Phantoms he made his debut in the American Hockey League towards the end of the 2000/01 season . In the following two years, the winger played predominantly for the Phantoms in the AHL, while he came in parallel to 17 missions for the Flyers in the National Hockey League . On March 10, 2003, he was initially transferred to the Phoenix Coyotes , who gave him back to the Pittsburgh Penguins only one day later . In their AHL farm team Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins he was a regular player in the following three years. In addition, he came for Pittsburgh himself to another 21 appearances in the NHL, in which he scored two goals and gave four templates.

From 2006 to 2008 Lefebvre played for the Summum Chiefs de Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu in the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey . He then spent a season each with the AHL teams Springfield Falcons and Providence Bruins , where he was on the ice during his time in Providence in a game for their cooperation partner Boston Bruins in the NHL. The Canadian spent the 2010/11 season with the Bakersfield Condors in the ECHL and took part with his team as host in the ECHL All-Star Game . For the 2011/12 season he was signed by EC Graz 99ers from the Austrian Ice Hockey League .
