Gunther Heinisch (born October 1978 in Mainz ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ).

Politics and life

Gunther Heinisch was a student of political science at the time of the state elections in 2011 and graduated with a Magister Artium. In 2016 he was enrolled at the German University for Administrative Sciences in Speyer for a postgraduate course in administrative sciences and then worked as a consultant in the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry for Family, Women, Youth, Integration and Consumer Protection .

Heinisch was active in the Mainz-Marienborn local advisory board from 1999 to 2004 and was chairman of the AStA at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz .

From 2004 to 2014 he was a member of the city council in Mainz and from 2009 to November 1, 2012 he was Deputy Mayor of Mainz-Altstadt , where he lived in the Schlossviertel. Due to a move to Neustadt , he had to give up his post as Ulla Brede-Hoffmann's deputy . From 2008 to 2011 he was a member of the state party council of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen Rhineland-Palatinate , where he was the spokesman for petitions and penal systems, further education, science / university, religious and ideological communities.

For his party, he was ranked 18th on the state list of the Greens in the state elections in Rhineland-Palatinate in 2011 and as a substitute candidate for Daniel Köbler in the Mainz I constituency . On March 27, 2011, he was elected to the 16th state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate , to which he was a member until 2016.

As part of its City Council work, he sat down in 2009 against the construction of a coal power plant of Kraftwerke Mainz-Wiesbaden on the Ingelheimer Aue one, from 2010 to 2014 he was also Supervisory Board of Stadtwerke Mainz . He has further supervisory board mandates for the State Theater Mainz and (until June 2011) the Lennebergwald association . Until 2014 he was on the advisory board for the award of project funding for the city's free cultural work and on the jury for the award of the Victor Otto Stomps Prize .

He is also a member of the municipal culture committee and school board committee and was on the works committee of the building management company in Mainz until 2014.

After moving again to Mainz-Gonsenheim, Heinisch moved back to the city council for Antje Kuessner (who had moved to Hameln) in the summer of 2017, where he continues to work in the field of cultural and school policy. In the local elections in 2019, he was re-elected to the city council with 55,137 votes.

Orders and decorations

As the holder of the Dr. Willy Eberz Medal, he is one of the honored personalities of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz . Georg Krausch , President of Johannes Gutenberg University, awarded the medal to the two CampusGrün members Heinisch and Adeline Duvivier in 2010 for special student commitment.
