On his 45th birthday, the local journalist and midlife crisis- plagued family man Max is fired. In the park he notices the young sportswoman Nancy. He follows her to her place of work, a gym. You can get him a membership. Max managed to get one last job, a report on a wellness hotel in the Spreewald. When he shows up with his wife and Nancy suddenly appears, it becomes clear that Max and Nancy already know each other and an argument ensues. A psychologist advises the couple to live apart for a while. Max is now engaged as a music journalist, while his wife Tina has her eye on the home inspector of the nursing home where she works. When Nancy, Max and Tina meet again before a concert, Tina thinks about a divorce. The athlete Nancy, however, has no feelings for Max, she wants to follow her dream and start as a dancer in New York City . In front of Tina's front door, Max finally makes a loud confession of love and the couple get back together.
