The Hüller Bach arises from the confluence of the Hofsteder Bach and the Marbach in the Bochum district of Hofstede . It finally flows east of Gelsenkirchen-Erle from the left into the Emscher.

It has a catchment area of ​​80.88 km² and drains parts of Bochum, Herne and Gelsenkirchen. Its direct and indirect tributaries are the Goldhammer Bach with Kabeisemannsbach and Ahbach and the Dorneburger Bach .
