FEI Classics

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The FEI Classics ™ were created in 2008 by the International Equestrian Federation FEI as a series of events in the eventing sport . The five most important eventing tournaments in the northern hemisphere were selected as venues, all of which are held as CCI **** . In 2011, the sixth CCI **** tournament in the world was added with the Australian International Three Day Event . From 2008 to 2013, the major British bank HSBC was the title sponsor of the series (HSBC FEI Classics ™). In June 2017 it was decided to suspend the tournament series for the 2017/2018 season.

Venues

With the start of the series, the calendar year was selected as the season of the FEI Classics. This was changed with the start of the Australian special stage, now the season began in October and November with the CCI **** Pau.
