The Hague is 584.6  m above sea level. NHN the highest mountain in the Main-Kinzig-Kreis , Hessen and rises in the area of ​​the community Sinntal between the districts of Oberzell and Züntersbach . The area is part of the Altengronau state forest.

The location of the mountain in the transition area from the Rhön to the Spessart makes an assignment difficult and repeatedly leads to contradicting information. The Hague is part of the Spessart Nature Park and is the highest point in the Hessian part. At the same time, however, it is also included in the Brückenauer Kuppenrhön natural area . In fact, the domed relief and the basalt forming the Hague correspond to the Rhön, whereas in the Spessart flatter surface forms and red sandstone are predominant.

The Hague is densely forested and, together with the Stoppelsberg to the west, is 570.7  m above sea level. NHN and the monastery ( 567.7  m above sea level ) as a 440.2 hectare fauna-flora habitat and nature reserve.
