history

The Hackermühle is one of the original 19 mills in the Trubach Valley, whose former existence is documented by documentary evidence. The first name of the mill was "Truppach Mühl", after the construction of further mills located downstream, it was temporarily called "Upper Mill". The mill function was discontinued in 1970.

As a result of the administrative reforms at the beginning of the 19th century in the Kingdom of Bavaria , the Hackerermühle became part of the rural community of Obertrubach with the second municipal edict in 1818, which also included the villages of Herzogwind , Möchs and Neudorf as well as the deserted Reichelsmühle , Schlöttermühle and Ziegelmühle . With the exception of the Möchs district, which was re-congregated to Hiltpoltstein in 1978, these localities remained near Obertrubach even after the municipal territorial reform in Bavaria in the 1970s. In 1987 the Hackermühle had four residents.

traffic

The connection to the public road network is established by the state road St 2260 , which passes north of the village and which, coming from the west of the Schlöttermühle , continues in an east-northeast direction to Obertrubach. About 200 meters east of the village, the district road FO 20 branches off from this , which leads south via Möchs and Almos to federal road 2 .
