The Reichelsmühle is a Franconian hamlet in the southern edge of the Wiesentalb , which belongs to Obertrubach .

geography

The village is one of 16 officially named districts of the municipality of Obertrubach in the south of Upper Franconia . It is located a little less than two kilometers west-southwest of the center of Obertrubach at an altitude of 414  m above sea level. NHN . The former wasteland now consists of three properties and has thus grown into a hamlet. It includes the mill building, an inn and a residential building.

history

The Reichelsmühle is one of the original 19 mills in the Trubach Valley, whose existence is documented by documentary evidence. Earlier names of the mill were "Hergottsmühl" and "Schwentnersmühle". The current place name goes back to the fact that the mill was owned by Heinz Reichel in 1547. In 1974 the Reichelsmühle was destroyed by fire, and the grinding operations no longer resumed after the reconstruction. Today a sawmill is operated there, and there is also an inn in the village.

As a result of the administrative reforms at the beginning of the 19th century in the Kingdom of Bavaria , the wasteland became part of the rural community of Obertrubach with the Second Community Edict in 1818, which also included the villages of Herzogwind , Möchs and Neudorf as well as the deserted areas Hackermühle , Schlöttermühle and Ziegelmühle . With the exception of the Möchs district, which was re-congregated to Hiltpoltstein in 1978, these localities remained near Obertrubach even after the municipal territorial reform in Bavaria in the 1970s. In 1987 Reichelsmühle had nine residents.

traffic

The connection to the public road network is made by the state road St 2260 , which runs through the village and continues from Wolfsberg in an east-northeast direction to Obertrubach.
