history

Until the end of the 18th century, Linden was under the sovereignty of the Bamberg Monastery . The village and community rulership exercised its Vogteiamt Wolfsberg . When the bishopric of Bamberg was secularized as a result of the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss 1802/03 and annexed by the Electorate Palatinate-Baiern in breach of the Imperial Constitution , Linden became part of the New Bavarian territories taken over during the "Napoleonic land consolidation" .

As a result of the administrative reforms in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , Linden became part of the rural community of Geschwand with the second municipal edict in 1818 . As part of the municipal regional reform in Bavaria in the 1970s, Linden was incorporated into Obertrubach together with Geschwand at the beginning of 1972. In 1987 Linden had 30 residents.

traffic

The connection to the public road network is established by the state road St 2191 , which, coming from the south-south-west of the directly adjacent Geschwand, continues in a north-easterly direction via Leimersberg to Kleingesee .
