Haidi Streletz , b. Hermann (born September 24, 1931 in Marburg ; † June 16, 2010 ) was a German dentist , painter and politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After schooling Streletz began studying dentistry, which she awarded the degree of Dr. med. dent. finished. She also completed a painting training in Frankfurt am Main and Sweden . She then worked abroad for nine years. Since 1985 she has been a member of the state board of the German Forest Protection Association.

Political party

Steletz joined the SPD, was a member of the district executive committee of the SPD Hessen-Süd from 1973 to 1979 and belonged to the state executive committee of the SPD Hessen . From 1974 to 1982 she was chairwoman of the Working Group of Social Democratic Women (AsF) for the district of Hessen-Süd, was first elected to the AsF federal executive committee in 1981 and was finally elected deputy national chairman of the AsF in 1986.

Streletz was a city councilor for the city ​​of Heusenstamm from 1968 to 1985 and a member of the Offenbach district council from 1972 to 1976 . She was elected to the Hessian state parliament in 1974 and has been chairwoman of the women's committee there since 1983 and spokeswoman for biotechnology and genetic engineering for the SPD parliamentary group. In 1995 she left the state parliament. She ran for election in the Offenbach Land II constituency , but was elected to parliament via the SPD state list.
