Haley Anderson (born November 20, 1991 in Santa Clara (California) ) is an American freestyle swimmer specializing in open water courses . She became world champion over 5 km in 2013 and defended her title in 2015.

successes

At the 2013 World Swimming Championships in Barcelona she won in 56: 34.2 minutes ahead of the two Brazilians Poliana Okimoto Cintra (56: 34.4) and Ana Marcela Cunha (56: 44.7). At the 2015 World Swimming Championships on the Kasanka in the metropolis of Kazan , she won in 58: 48.4 minutes ahead of the Greek Kalliopi Araouzou (58: 49.8) and the German Finnia Wunram (58: 51.0).

At the Olympic Games in London a year earlier, she won the silver medal over 10 km in 1: 57: 38.6 hours behind Hungarian Éva Risztov (1: 57: 38.2) and ahead of Italian Martina Grimaldi (1:57: 41.8).

At the 2011 Summer Universiade in Shenzhen , China , she had won the 1500 m pool and the silver medal over 800 m.
