Hanns Groth

Hanns Groth (born December 9, 1911 in Heidelberg , † January 23, 1953 in Berlin ) was a German actor .

Life

After his artistic training, Hanns Groth could first be seen on stages in Hamburg , Essen , Braunschweig and Wolfenbüttel . In 1951 Wolfgang Langhoff took him to the German Theater in Berlin, while his wife and son stayed in Braunschweig. Even better known than his theater roles, he became known through his participation in five DEFA films until he suddenly died of a sore throat at the age of 41.

Hanns Groth was a nephew of the famous actress Maria Koppenhöfer .
