Hans Krüger (actually Johannes Richard Krüger ; born December 10, 1884 in Hildesheim , † August 9, 1933 in Hanover ) was a German politician of the SPD .

Life

After graduating from secondary school in Hanover, he learned the profession of typesetter . He then worked until 1911 as a newspaper agent for the Reussische Volkszeitung in Greiz and for the Oberfränkische Volkszeitung in Hof , then until 1913 for the Volksblatt für Anhalt in Dessau . He had already joined the SPD in 1903.

During the First World War he was drafted into military service in January 1915 and seriously wounded in February 1918. At the beginning of the November Revolution he became chairman of the soldiers' council , a little later he chaired the state headquarters of the workers' and soldiers' councils in Mecklenburg-Strelitz . In April 1919 he was a delegate at the 2nd Workers and Soldiers Congress in Berlin .

Since November 1918 he belonged to the government of Mecklenburg-Strelitz under Peter Stubmann and was a member of the constituent assembly of the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Strelitz , to which he also belonged in the first electoral term. From January 1919 to June 1920 he was a member of the Weimar National Assembly .

From January to mid-October 1919 he headed the state government as chairman or governor. Then he was envoy to the Reich government in Berlin and a member of the Reichsrat until October 1920 .

Probably because of disputes within the state SPD, he left Mecklenburg-Strelitz in autumn 1920 and went to the province of Hanover . There he was initially acting, then from February 1921 to September 1926 officially as District Administrator of the Linden district . From 1921 to March 1928 he was also a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Hanover .

He was on leave in the last months of his tenure as district administrator. During this time he worked as managing director of the publishing house for municipal literature in Hanover.
