Hans Peter Wollseifer (born August 5, 1955 in Hürth ) is a German entrepreneur. Since 2010 he has been President of the Chamber of Crafts in Cologne and since 2014 President of the Central Association of German Crafts (ZDH).

Life

Hans Peter Wollseifer completed an apprenticeship as a painter and varnisher , which he completed in 1976 with the master's examination in painting and varnishing in Bielefeld. He then intended to study architecture in Cologne. However, the decision for a handicraft and family business followed, so that at the age of 21, Wollseifer took over his father's parents' painting business in Hürth near Cologne.

The company taken over by the father had three employees. After successful expansion, the company had around 100 employees and was in use nationwide. In the following years, Hans Peter Wollseifer founded other companies. In 1985, for example, a special scaffolding company was added, which qualified the entire company for the implementation of high-rise renovations through the use of moving external elevators.

In autumn 2009 Wollseifer sold his company shares in order to be able to take care of his expert office and his real estate and project development company founded in 1995. At the end of 2009 he founded a new individual craft business that deals with painting and varnishing work and building repairs.

On May 26, 2010, Hans Peter Wollseifer was elected President of the Chamber of Skilled Crafts in Cologne, after having been involved in craft organizations for over two decades. From 1986, Wollseifer was active in the painters and varnishers' guild as well as in the Rhein-Erft district craftsmen. From 1995 to 2000 he was vice president of the Chamber of Cologne and 2000-2010 District master craftsman of Kreishandwerkerschaft Rhein-Erft.

On March 3, 2013, Hans Peter Wollseifer was proposed by the executive committee of the Central Association of German Crafts (ZDH) as the successor to President Otto Kentzler , who was retiring at the end of the year , and was elected on December 5 by the ZDH's general assembly in Dortmund. On January 1, 2014, Wollseifer took up his new position as President of the Skilled Trades, replacing Otto Kentzler at the head of the Skilled Trades Association.

Social policy in general and health policy in particular are further areas of responsibility in which Hans Peter Wollseifer is involved. Both as the employer-chairman of the federal German guild health insurance funds (IKK eV) and as a member of the central association of statutory health insurance funds, he is well connected in the federal capital and sees it among other things. a. one of his tasks is to give the health trades in Berlin a voice.

Wollseifer was elected a member of the 16th Federal Assembly on February 12, 2017 at the suggestion of the FDP parliamentary group in the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Hans Peter Wollseifer is married and has two children.
