Hans Siegismund von Koschenbahr , also Koschembahr (* February 1709 in Sapraschine , † 23 June 1760 at Landeshut ), was a Prussian major and chief of grenadier battalion No. 5 .

Life

origin

He was a member of the Silesian noble family Koschembahr . His parents were the heir of Ober Sapraschine Christian Wilhelm von Koschenbahr († after 1726) and his wife Helene Sophie von Gaffron adH Groß Schottgau (* 1682). The Prussian major general Ernst Julius von Koschenbahr (1714–1776) was his younger brother.

career

Koschenbahr served in the Electoral Saxon Army with Infantry Regiment No. 4 for 30 years . He took part in the battle of Kesselsdorf and the sieges of Danzig and Prague. After the capitulation of Pirna he came in 1756 in Prussian service and was awarded in 1759 as commander of the Infantry Battalion No. 5, which consists of the grenadier companies of the garrison regiments "Mützschefall" and "Blanckensee" was composed. Koschenbahr was fatally wounded during the Battle of Landeshut .

family

Koschenbahr married Friederica Agnes von Kickbusch in 1735. The marriage resulted in a son, Friedrich Wilhelm Siegmund von Koschenbahr (1738–1779), Prussian Prime Lieutenant in Infantry Regiment No. 20 .
