Hanspeter Heinz

Hanspeter Heinz (* 18th November 1939 in Bonn ) is a Roman Catholic pastoral theologian and emeritus professors .

Life

Hanspeter Heinz was born as the eldest son of the entrepreneur Peter Heinz. He attended the Aloisius College in Bad Godesberg, and then studied philosophy and theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome from 1959 to 1966 . With a thesis on the Christology of the theologian Hans Urs von Balthasar , he was at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Bonn in trade dogma doctorate . In 1965 he was ordained a priest in Rome. From 1970 to 1980 Heinz was employed by the Central Committee of German Catholics (ZdK), from 1974 as the successor to Klaus Hemmerle . In 1982 he completed his habilitation with the work The Trinity according to Bonaventura .

Hanspeter Heinz was appointed to the chair for pastoral theology at the Catholic-Theological Faculty of the University of Augsburg in 1983 (successor to Karl Forster ). From 2000 onwards, Heinz was Vice President of the University of Augsburg. He is a member of the general assembly of the ZdK (head of the discussion group Jews and Christians since 1974 ) and of the Senate of the University of Augsburg. Heinz was a co-founder of the catholic pregnancy counseling donum vitae .

Heinz received the Buber Rosenzweig Medal on March 8, 2015 .
